Tuesday, 15 May 2012 07:23 Lagu Francis South Sudan >>> . A summit bringing together commanders of land forces of different African armies began on Monday in the Ugandan capital, Kampala. The meeting is expected to discuss key security concerns in Africa like the Boko-Haram, al Shabaab, the Lords Resistance Army threats and Sudan and South Sudan hostilities. Sudan did not send a representative to the summit, although the Ugandan commander of land forces, Katumba Wamala said the Khartoum government army was invited. Opening the summit, Ugandan president Yoweri Museveni cautioned the African continent's military against practicing sectarianism. Museveni described groups fighting religious wars such as Boko-Haram of Nigeria and al-Shabaab of Somalia as "idiots" with "ideological bankruptcy". The Daily Monitor newspaper quoted Museveni as saying: "African armies must be ideologically independent from foreign exploitation and manipulation". -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "South Sudan Info - The Kob" group.
