Tuesday, 15 May 2012 09:03 Lagu Francis South Sudan >>> . Police have stepped up security ahead of Sudan People's Liberation Army (SPLA) day on Wednesday. The day marks 29 years of existence of SPLA under the theme "Border demarcation is vital for peace and stability." South Sudan's Police spokesperson Maj. Gen Biar Mading Biar says officers will be on standby to make sure there is no criminal activity during the celebrations. "We have already prepared ourselves to control the security during the celebration and even for the days and the years to come," said Mading. Mading also hinted on the incident on Sunday where a teacher the late Tabitha Oleche from Dr John Garang International School was shot dead. "It is now being investigated. After the end of the investigation, it will be referred to the judiciary for the trial and then if the accused is convicted and his fate is decided," Mading said of the suspect in the death of Oleche. "It's too scientific investigation, it is a technical work. Its conducted with carefulness without hurry because if you do it in hurry you may destroy the case which may benefit the justice". Oleche was shot in the head as the car she was in drove past Dr John Garang Mausoleum when the flag was being lowered. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "South Sudan Info - The Kob" group.
