The head of the African Union High implementation Panel on South Sudan
and Sudan, Thambo Mbeki who was expected to arrive in Juba on Saturday
may come much later.

Information from the AU liaison office Juba says that Mbeki would
come later not as earlier reported. A date is yet to be announced for
his visit.

The supposed visit over the weekend comes at a time the government
spokesperson Barnaba Marial Benjamin is critical to the role of the AU
in the resumption of negotiations between the two countries as
required in the seven point peace road map.

The former South African President met Omar Bashir on Saturday and was
expected to meet President Salva Kiir on arrival.

Security Council, to honour the May 2nd UN Security Council
resolution.
