Christian missionary groups trying to enter Sudan through South Sudan – NCP

Sudan Safari Khartoum, 22/05/12 – The ruling NCP in Sudan has revealed
of a “large-scale missionary campaign” organised by church groups
targeting certain areas along the border strip with South Sudan.
Adil Awadh Salman, a high ranking NCP official, told reporters in
Khartoum yesterday that a number of church groups are trying to “find
a foothold” around the Nuba Mountains and other areas bordering South
Sudan. He said that authorities are closely monitoring any activities
that are not of a humanitarian nature by these groups.
He also noted that these groups are targeting a number of commanders
of the rebel Revolutionary Front whose leader, Malik Aggar, has
already received correspondence form these groups.
