A 3-day meeting to discuss the role of women in leadership and peace
building has started in the South Sudanese capital, Juba.

The women consultative forum organized by the Sudan Council of
Churches and the Norwegian Church Aid group has attracted women from
Greater Equatoria, Upper Nile and Bahr el Ghazal.

The participants are sharing experiences and looking at ways of
addressing challenges facing women in South Sudan.

A Peace and Justice Officer from Greater Equatoria, Gladys Mananyu,
explains that they are also looking at ways of reviving the Sudan
Council of Churches to make it more inclusive for women of South
Sudan.
