Uganda Police have deployed 100 police officers in Elegu at the
Uganda-South Sudan border following a two-day strike by businessmen
and truck drivers that ended on Monday.

The deployment of the police force was a mutual agreement between the
police forces of the two countries to boost security in the area, in
light of the two-day blockade of the main road between the two
countries.

Ugandan and Kenyan businessmen and truck drivers blocked the road last
Friday, in protest at what they called mistreatment by South Sudan
officials.
