The Minister of Labour, Public Service and Human Resources Development
in Northern Bahr el Ghazal, Bol Tong Tong raised concerns about the
delay in implementation of an electronic filing system for government
employees in the state.

The filing system is meant to create a uniform payroll so payment of
government workers is uniform and transparent.

Minister Tong however said the system faced delays in implementation
because many government workers were not able to produce birth
certificates or any form of identification to prove their Nationality.

Speaking to journalists in his office in Aweil, the minister also said
it is difficult to track down some government workers because they
were not employed through the proper channels.
