The Minister of Animal Resources and Fisheries in Warrap State has issued a decree giving cattle owners till the end of Monday to move their animals 5 kilometers away from the state capital, Kuajok. Speaking to Radio Miraya over the weekend, the State Animal Minister Paul Dhel Gum said the cattle herders were given 72 hours to move their animals following a long standing misunderstanding between the farmers and pastoralists in the area. Dhel said keeping the cattle outside the town will keep Kuajok town clean and ensure cultivated crops safe from animal destructions.
