Discrimination in issuing Passports to South Sudanese is an ongoing
incident It's not only the Madi and Acholi who're the victims. In
SPLA/M secret policy, “all the tribes in the borders are to be treated
as non-Sudanese”. For example, Kakwa, Zande, Kuku, and Nuer among
others are being considered linked to Congo, Uganda, and Ethiopia in
one way. In many areas dominated by Dinka, some necessities are openly
not provided to people who are labelled to be from the above tribes or
so. For example, national Citizenship, Scholarship, and Admission in
Dr. John Garang University. The Madi and Acholi became more victims
because they were directly and openly targeted. The same tribes which
SPLA/M provoked to fight among themselves are now considered birds of
the same feather. As a native of Juba, I strongly believe that without
SPLA/M, there could have never been War between Madi and Acholi.
Killing which was felt Nationwide among the two tribes was provoked by
SPLA commanders on the ground. They went further pronouncing certain
part of Madi and their land will be annexed to Acholi people. By doing
so they know Madi people will never tolerate such evil in their
ancestral land. There was not such issue of land between them for over
500 years. But the general idea was to make something which will force
Madi and Acholi to hate each other permanently. A policy not to
benefit the Acholi tribe, but to make SPLA/M deeply rooted among them.
A policy which will finally make the two tribes voiceless. It's
shameful if some Acholi elders still considered taking part of Madi
land to themselves will make them great. SPLA/M regime should not be
used for such thirst for land and hatred among you. When the wind
changes direction, seeking support of each other in difficult
situation will be a problem. There will be a time when South Sudanese
will live together as one family. There will be a time when the yoke
of divide and rule policy of SPLA.M will come to an end. Whether you
are Acholi, Madi, Kuku, Kakuwa, Zande, Nuer or so, open your eyes. If
you can see your rights by now, it will be worst in future. SPLA/M is
visually operating on a scale which bended one sided. Whether you go
hungry or not, it's none of their business. You can loudly shout
‘Oyee’ but remember your stand. This discrimination in getting
Passport is designed by the same SPLA/M. Mathias Wani Jummy, Juba-RSS

Stop looting government houses What will happen if all of us who are
occupying government houses start leaving in our wills a request to
the President to privatize government house and give it to our family
members. I am not against that decision. The house occupied by Paulino
Matip was once occupied by late Dr Toby Madut before the Kokora. If Dr
Toby Madut was to leave a will asking the President to privatize it to
him what would have been the reaction? A precedent has been set and
any death of a minister, General and Senior Government officials would
mean we are going to privatize a government house to that family and
if it continues like that soon all Government houses will be taken
over by the family members of the seniors officials. I am kindly
asking RSS to avoid privatizing Government buildings to Senior Army
Officers and Senior Government Officials, the masses will demand them
back come time for accountability. The children of the the senior
officials and Army Generals should not associate themselves with such
behaviour. Let us learn from Egypt and other countries lest we fall
victims of our own making. RSS avoid looting the RSS in a broad day
light. Our oil was looted (Stolen) like that and we cried. Now that
our houses are being taken over by ourselves and we keep silent.
Please let us speak out also.May God bless the family of the late and
give them accommodation if truly they do not have accommodation but
not the Government House. Dr. Andy Murusal, an Occupant of Government
House in Juba, South Sudan

Tribute to Gen. Matip Dear: County Citizens. A big elephant of south
Sudan, Gereral Pualino Matip has fallen. The departure of his spirit
in Nairobi has also shaken the whole part of south Sudan. South Sudan
became independent when CPA as signed in 2005 by Garang and again
re-signed in 2006 by Paulino Matip when he accepted to join his Nation
with thousands of strong army forces. His forces are now the
liberators and fighters of Crusade war against Khartoum at the border
between south Sudan and the North which recently captured Heglig in a
few seconds. General Paulino Matip will also confront General Zubary
of Khartoum, and fight him in heaven. By: Mr. Koang Thok Deng Muong.
Ulang County/Domma Payam.

Was a Madi not Sudan's Head of State? Dear All, If the Madis and the
Acholis are Ugandans then we can say that a Ugandan had been also the
Head of State of the republic of Sudan as from 1 January 1956 to 17
November 1958 Supreme sovereignty Council. Please see this names and
tell me who Siricio Iro Wani was. Is he not a Madi? Here is the list:

                        Abdel Fattah Muhammad al-Maghrabi
Muhammad Ahmad Yasin
Ahmad Muhammad Salih
Muhammad Othman al-Dardiri
Siricio Iro Wani

Rotten-to-the-core leaders Reply to Sidani Ireneaus: Dear Sidani
Ireneaus, thank you very much for your complimentary article which you
wrote in response to my recent article titled: Kiir's Leadership a
National Shame. I totally agree with you that the task of getting rid
of or correcting the corrupt, nepotistic and unpatriotically
opportunistic political leadership under Salva Kiir in South Sudan is
a job for every concerned citizen regardless of where they comes from
in the country.
When I directed my appeal to the people of Bahr El Ghazal to stand up
and correct the messy situation under Kiir who is their son by birth,
I did not means to be divisive, rather I meant to follow the adage,
charity begin at home, which means that Kiir being from Bahr El Ghazal
region, the people there need to take lead in opposing or correcting
the rotten system; or else they will collectively be seen as complicit
or actual participants in the mess. But the reality is that the poor
rural population in that region, like in any other part of the
country, have received only unending deaths, loss of property which
means loss of livelihood, suffering, bitterness and despair since Kiir
Mayardit took over the leadership! A clique have however accumulated
unspeakable riches in the face of all these mass suffering - basically
making fortune out of misery! It is these few that can sometimes be
seen as representing their areas when they are not! Already, there are
regular accusations labelled on the innocent Dinka people by some
narrow-minded analysts or critics who do not differentiate the SPLM
thugs (who are from every corner of South Sudan) from the largely
suffering constituents. It is this kind of narrow-mindedness that
actually has allowed the pathetically greedy SPLM leadership to
flourish and prosper because they use their tribes or for better word,
community groups to shield themselves from scrutiny and possible
accountability! Unless and until our communities realize that they are
the unappreciated beasts of burden on whose backs the politicians in
the canopy of SPLM enjoy free and lucrative ride, our problems will
continue to persist and these unfortunate leadership of yester-years
revolutionaries turned oppressors will continue to have extended
lifespan in office.

It is very unfortunate that a minority of individuals among South
Sudanese have formed a powerful conglomeration of looter-ship as once
described by a South Sudanese writer. They have shamelessly bought and
built luxuries homes and abroad, with absolute impunity! Whoever dare
question them suffers humiliation and elimination. These fools
however, do not realize that by pushing people to limit, a Libya-like
uprising may not be impossible in the long run, even though no South
Sudanese of right mind would encourage another suffering of our poor
masses. But a targeted revolution cannot be ruled out unless there is
a tangible change of policy direction on the part of SPLM. The current
leadership has not lived up to founding principles and goals of SPLM,
instead their protruded bellies and aspirations of their families are
what count to them. Everyone in the country including our heroes in
uniforms, has been reduced to beggars and the SPLM enjoys the sight of
desperate people crowding outside their offices longing to meet them
and beg for "Lugma al yom" or daily bread for their hungry families.
Salaries takes months without being paid and the poor workers are
stretched to limit in their daily struggle to survive, where is future
in the new-born country, SPLM leadership comrades?

Our proud cultures are already decayed as things that were once
considered taboos are practiced on daily basis - theft, extortion,
murders, robbery with violence, forced prostitution (as women are left
with no options for survival), suspicion, insecurity, lack of basic
health care, and many, many more are a daily occurrence in our
society. We as South Sudanese have a collective choice, to force these
"rotten to core" leaders to develop better future for the country or
continue endless suffering. Wanhalel Jurwiir, RSS

Getting rid of governing clique in Juba Dear Wanhalel Jurwiir, I think
you have said it all about the leadership of Salva Kiir. Many people
had indeed admired him but as things stand now, he has to look back
and ask himself as to what has gone wrong. However, I must add here
that the call for change in South Sudan should not be restricted to
Bahr el Ghazal alone because they want to redeem themselves for the
mess in South Sudan; for it is not only Bahr el Ghazanians who have
messed up South Sudan. It is the so called governing clique in Juba
regardless of their tribes who have messed up the country. Therefore,
it is the duty of any conscious South Sudanese to stand up and say
enough is enough. You guys have messed up our country and we now need
it back so that we can concentrate to build it instead of looting it.
In this regard I am actually joining you in wider sense to call on
South Sudanese now not to waste time lamenting but to stand up for
their rights. It has always began with one person as you have said
openly here and other join him. Congratulation for this piece. Sidani
