Pakistani, Iranian warships to dock in Sudan's main port
Sudane News Agency Khartoum, 26/11/2012 – The spokesman of Sudan Armed
Forces [SAF], Col. Al-Sawarmi Khalid Sa'ad, has announced that a
Pakistani warship would visit Port-Sudan harbour on 29 November for
two days. He said that another two Iranian warships would also visit
Port-Sudan harbour on 30 November and would stay for three days as
part of the military maritime cooperation [between the two states].
Sa'ad told SUNA in a statement that this work [the visit] comes as
part of the naval military cooperation between Sudan and all countries
in the world. He said the reasons of the stopover of these ships in
Port-Sudan include acquiring fuel supply and other logistic materials.
He also said that the three ships would open their doors for visitors
from the public.
