A Sudanese warplane dropped four bombs at Jigeba, Umdarain locality in
Nuba Mountains, killing one boy and injuring another three.

Two goats were also killed in the attack.

Jigeba Assistant Chief Abdullahi Idriss confirmed that the bombs were
dropped on a civilian area on Thursday morning.

He added that one boy suffered major injuries while the other two had
minor wounds.

Mr Idriss said the victims were rushed to the hospital to receive
medical treatment.

He denounced that the Sudanese government continued targeting innocent
civilians with aerial bombings.

Khartoum has been bombarding civilians in the Nuba Mountains region
since June 2011, when a conflict broke up with the SPLM-North over
state election results.
