SPORTS DAY CONCLUDES AT TONJ DON BOSCO SECONDARY SCHOOL Saturday, 18 May 2013 14:16 | The finals for Don Bosco Secondary School Sports Day were decided on Saturday morning and early afternoon.
Grace Morris, teacher and sport’s master for the school, said the Sports Day starting last Saturday and concluded today, Radio Don Bosco reported. She added that the volleyball final was played on Friday and Bakhita House defeated Don Bosco House. The table tennis final also took place on Friday and Savio House beat Don Bosco House. In the football final Bakhita House won 5-1 against Comboni House. Bakhita House beat Don Bosco House 36 points to 14 points in the basketball final. Student Noon Lual said he was very happy with the way the games went over the past two weeks. He added that there was no quarrelling between houses and the matches were friendly and promoted good sportsmanship. Mr Lual said the games promoted unity and peace among young people. He encouraged the youth to practice sports so that one day South Sudan will have national teams.
