*JUBA, 07 October 2013 [Gurtong] -* In his first public address to his
fellow community members in Juba in a ceremony officiated by the National
Minister of Security, Kala challenged the government that unless insecurity
along the road is minimized, contribution of Kajokeji towards the building
of the nation is questionable.

“If the road is on security threat then we cannot contribute to making this
country a better place.” said Kala.

The Juba-Kajokeji road in recent months has witnessed unprecedented
insecurity threats that have led to loss of lives of innocent civilians.

Killing, robbery and looting of human lives and property respectively have
become common practices along the road.

Last Thursday three people survived death after unknown group of gun men
fired gunshots on a vehicle they were travelling in wounding them
consequently.

The situation was rescued by convoys of security, police and army.

Last Sunday on September 29, a man lost his life after he was shot by
unknown group of gun men on the road just a few miles from Juba town.

The diseased was travelling to Kajokeji to visit his family.

Kala has also on one hand called for cooperation among his community
members for the new leadership’ task of Commissionership he has taken last
week.

He was appointed in the previous week by the Central Equatoria State (CES)
Governor Gen. Clement Wani Konga replacing Prof. Ben Yengi.

Beside other key matters, tackling security will be one of the greatest
challenges for Kala to address.
