*St Vincent Catholic Primary Parent-Teacher Association or PTA chairman in
Heiban County of Nuba Mountains blamed Kauda police for releasing two
children suspected of breaking into teachers’ compound last month.*

Two children were accused of having links with suspects who stole a drum of
petrol forcing the administration to close the school last Friday, Voice of
Peace Radio reported.

Hassan Ibrahim Brinji blamed the police for failing to hold the two
children in custody.

He said the police were supposed to comply with the order of local chiefs
and keep the children in custody until the chiefs decided.

Umda Adam Jadid Kappi expressed disappointment after the police released
the boys without their knowledge in order to trace the boys to arrest the
suspects.

The Umda stated that they will continue to look for the suspects until they
were arrested.

Umda Kappi threatened to use traditional cult to spell out the thieves.

El Obeid Diocesan Education Coordinator in Nuba Mountains Sister Cathy
Solano gave the chiefs ten days ultimatum to arrest the suspects before she
decides.
