*By James Deng Dimo* *TONJ, 21 November 2013 [Gurtong] - *County Wildlife Administrator Malok Mading says the river banks have burst and children should not think of swimming or fetching water as the crocodiles, hippopotamuses, snakes and other dangerous reptiles are threatening the people. “Last Tuesday, we have received a report that a big snake at the river bank had attacked children who were moving to the river to collect water,” said Mading. He said since August they have been on alert after crocodiles ambushed cattle and people near the river bank. He said one person was killed by crocodiles this year and the crocodile is still threatening people near the site. “If the situation still menacing the residents, then our administration has now proposed a deployment of our personnel rangers to sentinel most strategic mains passing roads to the river from anyone entering the river,” he said.
