*Aerial bombardments kill ten, injure eight in East Jebel Marra*

Ten people were killed in aerial bombardments near Shengil Tobaya and
Sharafa in East Jebel Marra. One attack took place a few kilometers from
the Unamid compound. A Sudanese Air Force (SAF) aircraft bombed the Toyota
transporting 15 people near Tangara at around 4pm on 29 November. It was
3km west of the Unamid compound in Shengil Tobaya. Seven of the passengers
died on the spot and eight were critically wounded. The relatives of the
victims asked Unamid to transfer the wounded people to a hospital and
recover the dead bodies. It remains unclear whether the organisation has
helped out. In a separate incident on the same day in Sharafa village in
East Jebel Marra, an Antonov 43 bombed three farmers, at about 5.30pm. The
three farmers, riding a horse cart, and their horses were killed
immediately.

“*Protest for free education has failed; Darfur students leave”*

120 students from Darfur have stopped their study completely at the
University of Sennar on 27 November. They will not return until the
university administration responds to their demands: to exempt them from
tuition fees and re-register dismissed Darfuri students. Darfuri students,
being displaced, are exempted from registration and tuition fees according
to the Abuja and Doha peace agreements. A spokesperson of Sennar's Darfur
Students Association explained: “All attempts, protests and sit-ins, to
resolve our case failed. We will only return if our case has been
resolved.” That day was also marked by violent clashes at the university in
Khartoum and the university in El Obeid, between National Congress Party
(NCP) students and Darfur students. The latter was holding a protest against
the administration's decision. 17 students from both sides were wounded during
the clash.
In October 2012, Darfuri students started striking against the
conflicting tuition
fee throughout Sudan. A number of them was struck down by reportedly
security services and students affiliated with the NCP.
