*YAMBIO, 10 December 2013 [Gurtong] - *Hon. James Elisa Bage told Gurtong
that the business code of conduct states that first thing to do is the
parliamentary minister or the Chief Whip to present the governor’s policy
document to the August house for deliberation.

Bage said the removal of the parliamentary minster and the Chief Whip
coupled with the national policy of reshuffling cabinet affected
deliberations.

He said the Speakers Forum resolved that any governor who is not currently
the chairperson of the ruling party SPLM at state level shall not be
authorized to appoint a chief whip in the assembly.

He said the Assembly is patiently waiting for the governor to appoint
somebody who will carry out issues to do with the parliamentary and then
the SPLM members will sit and recommend one from amongst the members of the
assembly to become the new chief weep.

He mentioned that when the assembly sits, they would deliberate on the
governor’s policy document which will be followed by the annual budget.

Bage urged the people to love their government, be patriotic and law
abiding as he also warned against discriminations, ethnicity, hatred and
blackmail.

“We don’t want to see a community that blackmails and talks bad of its
leaders. We are all one and if there is anything you see not going well
then, inform the people around to talk about,” Bage appealed.

Last week, the State Radio announced a decree by the State Governor Bangasi
Joseph Bakosoro relieving the State Assembly Chief Whip Hon. Bukulu Edward
without replacements.
