Arkangelo Anyar Anyar has appeal to the residents to remain peaceful as
security is guaranteed.

“People should not take in advance what is taking place in Juba but should
remain calm and enjoy their peaceful lives in the state without fear,”
Anyar who spoke to Gurtong said.

He said that the state Special Forces are now patrolling the town and there
is no problem.

“Since we heard yesterday the military developments in Juba, we made a
precaution of deploying our defensive forces along the town and informing
our people to feel free,” said Anyar.

Wau town was tense this morning after the street children attempted to
throw stones at Jaw main market.

Anyar said police forces have managed to make arrests and control the
situation making the circumstance stable.

Even though shops remain closed in the town, the state authority has sent
out the public announcement circulating within the town calling on business
people to open their shops as normal.

Other towns in Western Bahr el Ghazal state including Mapel town remain
calm.
