*The President of the Republic on Monday toured the Military, Police and
Juba Teaching Hospitals to encourage the wounded soldiers of mid December
crisis.*

Salva Kiir Mayardit told the press at Juba Teaching Hospital that he
visited the hospital to give courage to the wounded and congratulate the
staff of the hospitals, Bakhita Radio reported.

The President said he did not visit the wounded soldiers since the incident
started in Juba last year because of many commitments in the office.

President Kiir appreciated the work of the staff in the hospitals and
encouraged them to continue with the spirit of humanity.

He promised to resolve the difficulties facing Juba Teaching Hospital
including lack of transport for the medical personnel.

Health Undersecretary Matur Makur Koryom said the situation of the wounded
soldiers was greatly improving.
