*Malakal Catholic Apostolic Administrator said the diocese was completely
destroyed by December 15 unrest that started in Juba and spread to other
parts.*

Monsignor Roko Taban Musa told the faithful during his homily on Sunday at
St Kizito Parish in Juba that all infrastructure built over the past eight
years in Upper Nile, Unity and Jonglei states, was destroyed in one month,
Bakhita Radio reported.

He described the destruction as a great lesson to ‘power hungry’ leaders.

Monsignor Taban said it was time to withdraw bad habits of destruction,
calling on the faithful to pray for the diocese of Malakal.

He urged South Sudanese to unite and avoid the example of belonging to
Apollo, Cyprus, Paul and Jesus.

The Apostolic Administrator called on Christians not to follow destructive
ideologies of the conflicting leaders.

Bishops attending Sudan Catholic Bishops’ Conference plenary on Sunday held
masses in different parishes of Juba Catholic Archdiocese.
