She called upon Dr. Machar to disengage from rebel activities. She also stated the role of the church in bring peace in the country is option one and South Sudan ruling party will support all effort for restoring peace and stability in the region. "Church and youth must preach for peace - preach for peace and for the leadership to have peace in their heart. We need collective effort to bring peace and God is above all," Ms Kumba appealed. The electricity minister believes Machar is a Christian who prays at Presbyterian Church. "Riek believed in God, his church is Presbyterian Church. We believe that we are created in God's image, therefore lets respect God images." She appeals to the South Sudanese youth to defend the country and constitution from foreign powers and internal aggressors. She urges the youth to support nation building with integrity just like the late SPLM chairman Dr. John Garang whom she described as "a man with rich legacy in South Sudan's history."
