Relatives Condemn The Execution Of Their Son In Prison Relatives of Dok Maker Mabor have condemned the execution of their son which was carried out in Wau prison, Western Bahr El Ghazal state last week on Wednesday. 23 June 2015
By Gabriel Mayom * WAU, June 22 2015 [Gurtong] -* Late Dok Maker Mabor was found guilty of killing the late Gony Paramount Chief, Aparer Chut Dhuol on August 5, 2014 in Pacong Payam and was sentenced to death by execution. In 2002 late paramount chief of Thuyic Maker Mabor Riak was killed in Pacong by the son of late chief Aparer. In a protest document signed by family members, Muoranyar Maker brother to late Dok said that the execution was imposed as selective justice claiming that more crimes committed in August 2014 were undermined by the state government and national government. Muoranyar said that “we, the undersigned family, relatives and friends of late Dok Maker Mabor have been profoundly shocked and saddened by his unfair trial and inhumane execution on the 17th of June, 2015 at Wau prison without the knowledge of his close family members.” “While we certainly have been supporting fair justice given to the family of late chief Aparer Chut Dhuol, the family of Late Maker Mabor think of the similar cold blood murders committed against some families of the opposing community would equally receive justice” reads on the statement by the family members of the late. Last Wednesday at 4pm local time, Dok was executed in Wau prison.
