By Agoth Abraham *AKON-BUOI, 09 July 2015 [Gurtong] *– An SPLA soldier identified as Mathiang Agany shot his colleagues Joseph Ariech, Aleu Aleu, Wol Mayuol, Nasir Ahmed and Atem Ghoch at about 5 pm just immediately after the celebrations. According to Gabriel Gai Bol, an SPLA officer in charge of the Military Hospital in Rumbek, the SPLA soldier then turned and killed himself too. “Yes, four soldiers were shot dead by one soldier this evening before he turned and shot himself too. The reason of the incident is not clear exactly but I heard it was connected with money borrowed from a woman but not fully verified”said Gabriel Gai Bol. The bodies of the deceased were taken to Rumbek’s town military barracks on Thursday. One of the relatives of the deceased condemned the incident saying the SPLA must take the full responsibility of compensating the families of the deceased. “This is really bad and cannot go unaccounted for. However, since the culprit is dead as well, the SPLA must take full responsibility of the deceased family members because they were innocently killed by this perpetrator.” Lual Akol, a student at Rumbek Secondary school who is related to one of the deceased spoke to Gurtong ------------------------------ [image: Bookmark and Share] <https://www.addthis.com/bookmark.php?v=250&pub=xa-4a8952f0662ccc6f> Posted in: Home <http://www.gurtong.net/ECM/Editorial/tabid/124/ctl/CategoryView/mid/519/categoryId/1/Home.aspx> -- To post to this group, send email to [email protected] To unsubscribe from this group, send email to [email protected] Visit this group at https://groups.google.com/d/forum/southsudankob View this message at https://groups.google.com/d/msg/southsudankob/topic-id/message-id For more options, visit https://groups.google.com/d/optout --- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "South Sudan Info - The Kob" group.
