Bor County Officials Condemn Killing Of Chief In Jalle A village Chief of Jalle Payam and his wife were reportedly killed in Bor County, Jonglei State on Wednesday by unknown gunmen. 07 August 2015

Jok *BOR, 06th August, 2015 [Gurtong] *–Bor’s County Commissioner, Isaac Mamer Ruk told Gurtong that the Chief and his wife were targeted last night by unknown gunmen who entered into the home of Jalle’s Chief, Kuai Ayuen and opened fire. “They opened fire to the house of the Chief, killing the Chief and his wife,” Mamer said. Commissioner Ruk said that three people are being suspected of conducting the attack. He condemned the act. “The mood from the family of the victim is very bad especially the Bor County Administration because Chief Kuai Ayuen was well known for his good character, he was a man of peace and a hard working Chief,” Commissioner Ruk eulogized the Chief. The County officials said that the suspects are unknown although members of the community have pointed fingers at the Murle community.
