Security arrangement in Juba delays Dr Machar’s return, says Deng Gai CRN Wednesday, February 17, 2016 - 09:25 The leader of the advance team of SPLM/A-In-Opposition in Juba says Dr Riek Machar’s return is delayed by failure to effect demilitarization of the city.
Taban Deng Gai says there is urgent need to deploy new joint protection forces. Without the personal protection force of the first Vice President, things will be difficult, Deng adds. Another difficulty is resources for logistics, Deng explains. He says security arrangement is crucial for confidence building to encourage return of IDPs. Civil Society Alliance Chairperson, Akuach Ajang petitioned the IO advance team on the return of Dr Machar. He expresses disappointment over continued military engagement between the government and the opposition forces in some parts of the country. The Alliance looks forward to engaging all peace stakeholders to implement the deal. - See more at: http://catholicradionetwork.org/?q=node/19976#sthash.0NS6MI8j.dpuf -- To post to this group, send email to [email protected] To unsubscribe from this group, send email to [email protected] Visit this group at https://groups.google.com/d/forum/southsudankob View this message at https://groups.google.com/d/msg/southsudankob/topic-id/message-id For more options, visit https://groups.google.com/d/optout --- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "South Sudan Info - The Kob" group.
