Juba Prison graduates over 100 inmates after vocational trainingRadio Bakhita
Friday, June 9, 2017 - 16:33 Juba Central Prison in partnership with United Nation Development Programme on or UNDP on Thursday graduated 143 inmates after vocational training. The inmates comprising males and females learned carpentry, bricks-laying, electricity, auto mechanics and hair dressing, Radio Bakhita reports. Brigadier General Anthony O. Legge, Acting Director for Production and Vocational Rehabilitation, says the training will empower the inmates. He appreciates partners for their continuous support to the prison to make the inmates productive in the nation. Kamil Kamaludeen, UNDP South Sudan Country Director, says the graduation is a new step for the inmates to start delivering services with the skills they gained. Some graduates express their appreciation for getting knowledge in the prison.
