Opposition turns back UNMISS force at Lasu road, confirms Governor
Radio Easter Tuesday, August 8, 2017 - 09:58 Armed opposition chased back the United Nations Mission in South Sudan or UNMISS’ force at Lasu road in Yei River State, confirms Governor. David Lokonga Moses describes the act as a violation of human rights, Radio Easter reports. The force was trying to save internal displaced people in Lasu County and deliver services to them. Lokonga believes grassroots dialogue is improving because people in his state have started coming for medical attentions in Yei State Hospital. It is the role of the state government to handle some issues through grassroots dialogue, not responsibility of the national government, the Governor notes. Governor Lokonga was speaking to Radio Easter during UNMISS Civil Affairs visit to Yei on Monday. -- To post to this group, send email to [email protected] To unsubscribe from this group, send email to [email protected] Visit this group at https://groups.google.com/d/forum/southsudankob View this message at https://groups.google.com/d/msg/southsudankob/topic-id/message-id For more options, visit https://groups.google.com/d/optout --- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "South Sudan Info - The Kob" group.
