Hi all,

Soya 0.11 is out!

This release allows to use Cerealizer instead of cPickle (voir les tutoriels basic-savingfile-* et basic-loadingfile-*). Contrary to
Pickle, Cerealizer is safe, which is useful for network game! The release also add a listbox widget to Pudding (thanks Reto :-).
"rotate_x", "rotate_y", "rotate_z" aliases have been added to the "rotate_lateral",
"rotate_vertical" and "rotate_incline" methods.

Finally, there are several bugfixes on shadows, cellshading and raypicking on
Cal3D models.

There is also a new 0.11 release of the Soya tutorial set.

Here is the complete changelog:

* June 2006 : Soya3D 0.11
  * Full support for cerealizer (i.e. save(), load() and get() can use
    cerealizer, see set_file_format and basic-savingfile-* and
    basic-loadingfile-* tutorials)
  * Pudding listbox, by Reto Spoerri (thanks :-))
  * Idler.return_value is now readable (ease hacking the Idler :-)
  * rotate/turn_lateral/vertical/incline become rotate/turn_x/y/z
    (the old names are still their and I don't really consider them as
    "deprecated")
  * Sources now use tab instead of space for indenting
  * Bugfixes:
    * Several bugfixes on shadows, cellshading outlines on Cal3D model
      and raypicking on Cal3D model
    * tofudemo tutorial was broken. It now works, although the
      interpolation feature add some lag. Tofu and Tofu4Soya are still
      in an unstable stage and may change radically.

Hi,

Very good job, Jiba! I'm happy to see that development is very active these days! You can find precompiled binary files of Cerealizer-0.4 and Soya-0.11 for Win32 platforms (for Python24 only) on http://thomas.paviot.free.fr/soya

I do not have many time to spend on soya-user ml, and i'm not a fan of irc, but I heard a few days ago about the decision to fork Soya to another 3D game engine for Python. I don't know all the elements that lead to this clash, but i have to tell you, Jiba, that i trust you to lead the Soya community. You're Soya's father, and it's dangerous, for a child, to be seperated from his parents! I then decided to provide Win32 binaries for Soya only, and to boycott PySoy. That's the way i want to protest against the putsch attempt Soya was the victim.

Forza Soya!

Thomas
