Thanks to Duck, our Debian Packager, the Debian (and thus Ubuntu) package of 
Soya is usually frequently updated.

But it targets the unstable release, right? Most Ubuntu users use the
stable release instead (I don't know about Debian users, when I was
one, I used unstable).

I'm also thinking to a "static" distribution of Soya for Linux i386 which 
requires about no install or compilation (although it would be quite huge :-)).

It could be a good idea, although I can't say how this could affect
performance or memory usage.
