After talking to Matt, she was not happy at all with what was going on.
Someone (Boulay?) wanted a witch hunt, and considering that Matt was a
squeaky wheel, she wondered if she wouldn't be put on the chopping block
soon as well. The changes she was about to implement were not going to be
popular.

She finalized all the things she had enacted and made them completely
official, then found some backwater desk job on Earth for the two she'd
removed from Granite Outpost and sent them their orders. The rest of the
morning was spent appropriating supplies for Pumace and sending them on
their way, and then finding field operatives worthy enough to be sent
there. When that was at last finished, she examined the outpost structure
and looked to see how many outposts had been assigned to other commands as
opposed to being attached.

(GM?)

She then issued a general order to all affected ouposts and commands
immediately removing assigned outposts from outside control and replacing
them within Spec Ops direct command. Changing them from assigned to
attached would ruffle a lot of feathers, but she didn't care. That done,
she called the Tellarite in.

(eh?)

"Two things. Firrrst, I want you to do an inventorrry of all ourrr
outposts and see who is below minimum rrrequirred perrrsonnel."

(resp?)

"Second, I was told you had some inforrrmation forr me." She tried not to
show how interested she was.

A little girl asked her father, "Daddy? Do all fairy tales begin with
'Once Upon A Time'?"
He replied, "No, there is a whole series of fairy tales that begin with
'If elected I promise'."
