Once K'Tael came into the clearing, Matt gave him something of an embarrassed
smile.� "Just roughhousing with sister-in-..."� He had to take a moment to
correct himself.� "My former sister-in-law," he told him.�

K'Tael could hear the pain in Brennan's voice. �It was not something he
enjoyed dealing with, but someone had to do it before the reporters started
thinking the good Doc had decided to start attacking the visiting
Ambassadors. ��"Would you like to talk, Doctor?"

Matt looked confused.� "Talk.� About.....?"

Ael stepped in with something of an embarrassed smile.� "My apologies,
Commander.� Dr. Brennan was performing a kata, stretching and practicing, and
I... stepped in to his practice.� I'm hoping the doctor chooses not to press
charges?"

"Charges?" he asked.� "For sparring?� Helping me stay in shape?� Not a
chance." He looked back to Ael.� "You're not going to press charges against
me, are you?"

"For what?" she asked him, her eyes clearly mischievious, "making me look
good?"

K'Tael was really starting to regret his offer to talk.  He was not
comfortable with this type of flirtation, particularly if he was not one of
the participants.  The funny thing is, K'Tael was not sure that the Doctor
even noticed that he was participating.  "I think there was more concern for
your welfare, Ambassador.  We received some calls on the incident from
concern people nearby who had seen recent news stories.  I think they were
concerned that you might be the Doctor's next victim considering that you
were a Rihansu woman who seemed to be defending herself from the attacks of
Dr. Brennan."  K'Tael's tone made it clear that he did not necessarily
believe the idea, but that it was his duty to check out such calls.
