The new day comes.....
Again a new day comes with the oppertunity of being better than the
previous, as those other problems were left in the past. At least that is
how the morning started.....
At 0800 hours with the morning news...
"Now breaking news. It would appear that Starfleet's top doctor was
at his old tricks again. Last night Dr. Matthew Brennan, the Surgeon
General of Starlfeet was seen attacking the new Romulan Ambassador. Station
security was called to the scene of the disturbance.
This is the second time that the Doctor is being linked to an assult
on a Romulan. The first being the attack on Admiral t'Llhweiir a few months
ago. Starfleet Command has not commented on this, latest, incident
involving one of their own....."
Lasiter caught this in his office, where he looked up from his work to view
the report.
"M'Rrenn, schedule a press conference today at 1000 hours." Lasiter
called to his Chief of Staff.
"Sorrrrry, sirrr. You have a meeting with Admirrral Rrrenaud at
that time. Perrrhaps 1100 hourrrs?" came the reply.
"Do it. Let Renaud know that he will be at the press conference
with me. Call t'Llhweiir and have her there too. Let the President know
that I will be available to him as soon as he has some free time to answer
his questions. I am sure that he will have plenty." Lasiter replied.
"Aye sirrr." came the reply. With that M'Rrenn made the necessary
calls.
