"On to other matters... the new Director of the Task Force. Since
this was not supposed to be a task force that was led by Starfleet, I
suspect that someone from the border patrol will be assigned to take
command. However, I would like to mention in it in the official record that
the pirate operation is starting to spread, and become more violent. While
I do understand the need to keep both civilian law enforcement and local
authorities highly involved, I do believe that it is time for Starfleet to
take on a larger role that it has to date. With permission, I also intend
on making this recommendation to the Commander in Chief in the next full
report to him. The politics of this situation is throny at best, which
properly describes the reasons that Starfleet is not leading this task force
now." he added.
