mustsay, sir, that everyone here has been more than helpful in helping me
acclimate to the station. I would like to thank you and your staff."
"While we have a moment, let me tell you what one of your responsibilities
will be so you can start thinking on how to handle it. Recently with Mr.
M'rrenn's advice, I closed off portions of the station to the media due to
the recent events. In a gesture to settle them over this, I am going to
institute daily press briefings. That will be yours to handle as you see
fit. They will not start for a couple weeks to let you settle in."
Dais nodded. "I appreciate that, sir. I think the biggest hurdle will be
getting caught up to everything that has been going on. While Ms. Firehawk
briefed me, I am sure that it will take more than that to understand the
complexities of the current climate on the station."
(response)
"Sir, I was curious. Ms. Firehawk noted that she is assisting in one of the
investigations. I also know that the Marines are assisting with station
security, but I was wondering what other departments are assisting in the
investigation?"
(response?)
"Well, sir. I am sure that K'Tael is a wonderful officer, but considering
the current caseload and the importance of some of these cases, are Special
Ops, Intell, or even Starfleet Security assisting?"
