(ooc: as has been discussed with the gm, the dinner between lorin and
candance will continue since there is currently no gm interaction
involved.)

"Let me think about it, OK? I have some rather tricky publicity issues to
get past. One in particular is the selection of senior officers who are
related to admiralty. Having both of us onboard--as well as Admiral
Lasiter--might be rubbing it in a bit."

About this point, a waiter arrived to take their orders. Candance ordered
her favorite Italian dish. "Fettuccini Alfredo, with chicken and
mushrooms, please. And the house Cabernet Sauvignon."

The waiter smiled. "Yes, we have an excellent vintage, Admiral." Then,
to Lorin, "And you, Admiral?"

(response)

After the waiter left, Candance asked, "Have you read the message from
Admiral Lasiter? I know we can't discuss specifics here, but I'd like
your opinion."
