Dr. Mary Basco slid quietly into the room.  She had received instructions
from Matt to be at the meeting in his place if he weren't back.  She smiled
at the others present, feeling very small.  She, after all, was a mere
Commander.  All those admiral's stars in the room......

She quietly slid into a seat and waited for someone to confront her and
chase her out.
