"You know," Matt said, "this is all getting rather tedious. Forget the cover
story. I know you have a friend of mine held captive here. You also have a friend
of hers. You now have two choices: You can let us - and them - walk out of here.
Or you can suffer the consequences of not having done so." He slid his human
shield's weapon out of its holster and into his own belt, thumbing the intensity
setting on his blaster as he did so in away that made the diode trio sing rather
menacingly. "Your choice. I would advice you to use reason, and not your
testicles, to come to this conclusion. I am not bluffing when I say that you will
all likely die if you do not heed my warning."
"You think that you can take all of us before your friends die or you?"
With that the Bartender came around from the bar. As he did so, the weapon that he
was packing- a disruptor or sorts- became visible.
The person at the bar was still sipping from his drink, not at all interested in
the events that were consuming the others. His bottle of.... "It's green." to his
left.
The other thugs prepared to catch them in the cross-fire.
"It does not look good for you, human. Not good at all. Perhaps you should
take my deal... Leave now and we will not kill you in most fantastic ways." he
continued, thinking with his gland not his head.
All the while Carrhae managed to get ahold of the knife in her boot. In the time
that had passed her control of her limbs- while still not 100% - had improved to
the point where she was decidedly more confident.
Matt sighed. "I wasn't bluffing," he told them. "I did warn you about that, so
I'll have no regrets. And yes, i could take all of you. I have, upon occasion,
taken as many as ten assailants at once." He'd worked with both Carrhae and Cax'Pa
enough that they should pick up on the ten. "Your thugs just don't worry me, I'm
sorry," he said. He accented the thugs, to give them the start for their count to
ten. "So, one more time: Back up, or die." That got him to the count of five.
