Time plus 12 days.....

{OOC: This time jump applies to all of those on the station, not those off station.
We will backtrack if needed.}

The Hand:
In the twelve days since their first meeting with Bajoran officials, Commanders
Dias and Joe Garibaldi have met with the Bajoran investigators (Rivik and Relik) no
more than 4 times. Strangely enough the last time Mr. Allso was noticably absent.
Strange because he is at the center of the matter. These meetings were hardly
productive, except to note that when Allso was there, he looked stressed. As if the
hammer was about to fall on him. Perhaps he knew something, and wanted desparately to
tell, but was afraid. Perhaps he just needed a little push... little chance of that
with his handlers there......
In the mean time, a bit of legal wrangling had taken place. The Bajorans tried to
quash the material witness order, but failed. However, the judge did note that the
Federation had a time limit on how long it could restrict Mr. Allso. They also found
out that they could get ahold of Mr. Allso if the Bajoran government would agree to
drop his diplomatic status, something that the Ambassador and his minions (Relik and
Rivik) have refused to do. There is another option..... Lasiter..... he had
contacts with the Bajoran Government...

The Raid Party & Conspiracies:
The raid had been successful, so had been most of the interrogations. All but
two (2) of the Starfleet personnel had cooperated, and JAG prosecutors had agreed to
reduced sentences- meaning serving less than 20 standard years in the pokie. The
remaining two are taking their chances at trial- risking 25 to life.... The civies
are taking a much different tactic. Most of them are not cooperating, and going to
trial. All are being held without bond until their trial date. While the Federation
Bureau of Infestigation and the Marshalls are taking care of most of the others,
Deputy Marshall Grimes has asked for the assistance of Commander Firehawk in the
interrogation of the one named Charles...
{OOC: we can backtrack the interrogation of the one cooperative guy if you want
to. I will e-mail you privately the information gathered from the others who have
cooperated.}

Lasiter's Proposal: In the twelve days since the proposal to overhaul SF Command was
unveiled, Adm. Lasiter has been very busy. Busy meeting with various Federation
Member Delegations trying to drum up some support for Starfleet and her efforts to
reform. Support for reform as a whole, and confidence in him as the leader of
Starfleet. When not meeting with the diplomats he has been contacting various
commands throughout Starfleet. Touching base with them, keeping up to date with their
happenings, and generally getting to know them (and letting them get to know him).
All part of his grand plan. Then there was the meeting with the dissident Starfleet
officers..... Those that were considering some great action..... S small sampling of
that group, plus a few others from other 'factions' were invited to Spacedock for a
sitdown. While the meeting was generally positive, it was not an easy one. Many hard
questions were asked of the CinC, and evern harsh critisizisms (sp) we!
re made. Lasiter made a point to forgo the formalities of rank to make the meeting as
open as possible. It was here that he, for the first time, outlined his general plan
for Starfleet- streamlining SF Command, engaging SF Command more so as to counter the
habbit of being a distant (both in understanding and in physicial distance) command
structure, giving Starship Captains more discression in their commands, removing the
wheat from the chaffe (or so to speak, with respect to the good, the bad, and the
slackers in the fleet), and to assume responsibility... While lots of the specifics
were noteably absent from the discussions, those that attended got the impression that
the plan was carefully thoughtout.

While highly critical several officers, including a Betazoid Sector Commander with
lots of respect and a sizeable following, left the meeting with a new view of the man
in Command.... Others did as well, excpet for a certain pain in the butt Tellerite
Admiral...

Lasiter Junior: as instructed he finally read over those letters long ago written from
his mother to his distant father on assignment. He got a new sense of their
relationship and just who the man was. He also learned quite a lot about his mother,
and what he learned surprised him. He had always thought of his father as one would
think of an absentee landlord of a slum. But he found that the older Samuel Lasiter
was not that way at all. He learned that his mother was not an old, paranoid, broken
woman. She had only become that way after leaving her husband and living with her
Starfleet hating family. His hard thoughts of his dad softened, if only slightly.
