*** Elsewhere on SPD- in K'Tael's office ***

>K'Tael studied Joe. There was only one officer in SF Command that K'Tael
>could think of that had a "special" relationship with the Bajorans. He was
>not sure that Joe knew about the suspicions surrounding his uncle(?). "What

>about Admiral Garibaldi?"
>
>Dais had heard rumors about some of Garibaldi's "special" projects He was
>not sure how to take the situation since he did not know the Admiral
>personaly. Considering his position, it was not surprised that he was
>involved with less than desirable people. He was interested in seeing what
>Joe had to say about the suggestion.
>
"Well, that could be a sticky subject. He does have some good contacts,
but I would be a little uneasy about using him. At least now. It is not
exactly widely known, but there is a possibility that Admiral Garibaldi may
be a member of their inner circle. While, I am not saying he is involved or
has any knowledge of the hand. It is possible that he would warn them rather
than help us. I would prefer if we go elsewhere for assistance." Joe said a
bit reluctantly. Still not wanting to believe that his one uncle could be
involved in anything corrupt or illegal.

Dais was surprised by the young officer's comment. Apparantly, there was
more to the Admiral than he had heard. He felt bad for the junior officer to
be placed in such a difficult position.

"Well, what about Lasiter??? He has had several communications with various
members of Bajor's government. He knows who the players are there.
Afterall, he worked with them adding security to DS9 and to Bajor after the
assassination attempt on him at DS9. Perhaps he could make a call or two..."
Joe suggested.

K'Tael raised an eyebrow. "Do you think that Admiral Lasiter has the time to
do this?" he asked. Rumors had been starting to go around about Lasiter
concerning his health and other distrations.

Just in time to delay Joe's answer, Captain Boulay's call came in.

"Aye sir. I am in a meeting with Commanders Dais and K'Tael discussing an open
case. Our conversation has turned to a point where we need to consult with you and
Admiral Lasiter, if possible. May we all join you?" Garibaldi said.

Lasiter took the opportunity to answer, "Commander Garibaldi this is Admiral
Lasiter. You and your party are welcome to join us."

"Aye sir. On our way..." Joe replied cutting the comm channel. Then turning to
his collegues,

"Well, it looks like we will find out together."

*** Back in Lasiter's office ***

"Sorry for stepping in, Captain." Lasiter appologized.
