The first group to come into contact with Kitanya and her team was a small security detail, three Felinids. They were very cautious in their approach, as they smelled the intruders from down the hall. The squad leader rounded a cooridor first and was hit first by the spec ops team. The remaining two came around firing a second later. Some how Kitanya knew they were not just yelling, but calling for backup. Lots of backup.
Kit launched herself at the closest one, slashing with her claws. She sank her claws in deeply on the shoulders of her opponent, then raised a leg and rammed her toe claws into his stomach, kicking powerfully downwards to slash him open. It was her first taste of combat in a long, long time and well, there would be other prisoners. At the same time, though, it felt very odd to attack felinids. Caitians had never had much in the way of civil war, and certainly not in the past millenium or so. Caitian didn't fight Caitian. She put the thought aside. These weren't Caitians; they were killers. Kit checked around after her opponent was down, checking the status of the other enemy and her team. (eh?) Once the trio was dispatched, any survivors got a transport tag put on them and activated, to take them onboard the Hathor directly to a holding cell with medical staff to help the wounded. Then they moved on. This was an offensive strike, and surprise would be their best advantage. She motioned for them to surge forward and she acted as rearguard, moving backwards to make sure they didn't have company coming up from behind. (eh?)
