"None was taken," Carrhae replied as she took a seat across from him. As
she did, she looked quizzically at him for a moment, then shrugged it off.
"It is good to have staff who know you so well." She smiled. "Sometimes
I think Y'Toi knows me too well."
"Which is why we keep them around," Matt told her. "For all those times we want
people to know what's wrong with us, but we don't want to talk about it."
More seriously, she said, "I regret disturbing you, but I called the
Venasian embassy to speak with Ambassador Celara(sp?). I was told that
she was ill. I am certain you can understand my cause for concern.
"Have you spoken to Samuel today?"
"Your presence is never a disturbance, and yes, I just left Samuel. He and the
Ambassador are both fine, they just felt the effects of some telepathic fallout."
