"Matthew, I had not planned to rush this investigation, but this morning's
incident with the ambassador is forcing my hand.  I must know that Samuel
is not under undue influence.

"Let me know what he decides this evening.  If he agrees, this can remain
unofficial.  If he does not, I will have to make an official inquiry."
She clearly was not pleased with the prospect, but was also clearly
adamant about what her duty required of her.
