A few minutes later, K'Tael enterred Sickbay with his team and made his way over to the unit in which the would-be prisoners were being held. He walked right over to Mr. Rivik and handed him the PADD with the arrest warrant on it.
"Mr. Rivik, I must inform you of your rights at this time as we are arresting you and the rest of your group here. You have the right to remain silent and refuse to answer questions. Anything you do say may be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to consult an attorney before speaking to the police and to have an attorney present during questioning now or in the future. If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be appointed for you before any questioning if you wish. If you decide to answer questions now without an attorney present you will still have the right to stop answering at any time until you talk to an attorney. Do you understand your rights, Mr Rivik?"
"What are you talking about? You can't arrest me. I have diplomatic immunity." replied a completely indignant Rivik. He was obviously not expecting this, and was quite upset about it. Also notable was his lack of concern for his lackey's arrest.
K'Tael silently handed Rivik the PADD with the warrent and charges on it. Giving the Bajoran a few minutes to read over the documents, he spoke when Rivik looked at him. "As you can see, diplomatic immunity does not keep you from being brought in on these charges."
K'Tael stepped forward, turned Rivik around, and placed him in cuffs. <That felt good,> he thought to himself. "If you will just come along, Mr. Rivik. We can get you processed and put into a comfortable cell more quicklly."
