> As the President was about to start his speech, Commander M'Rrenn and a
security detail went to the Venasian Embassy on Spacedock. While the
detail
remained around the corner, and thus out of sight M'Rrenn approached the
embassy.
>
> "Gentle Tides. I am Commanderrr M'Rrenn, Admirrral Lasiterrr's Chief
of
Staff. I wish to speak with the Charrrge d'Affairrr and the Officerrr on
Duty. I am herrre to deliverrr a message frrrom Starrrfleet and the
Federrration Council.", he said politely, yet formally to one of the
guards.
>
> From the look of M'Rrenn and by the nature of the his request, it was
clear that a face to face visit was required- diplomatic protocol demanded
it.

(I'm going to rush through some of the nitpicky details right here.)

The military guard on duty eyes glittered with its golden flecks as he looked at her.
In a moment, the door opened. "Commander Janaki is currently the officer on duty," he
told her tersely, in typical military fashion, "Report in at the desk, please."

When M'Renn entered, everything inside looked fairly normal, except that the military
was clearly in control. The receptionist - a young Venasian in military kit - took
M'Renn's security clearance and logged her in. After an easy, effecient check-in, a
Venasian woman appeared. "I am Commander Janaki. Please come into the office." She
lead M'Renn into the office -
formerly Ambassador D'amondra's office, except all sign of Celana's occupancy had been
wiped clear. Now it looked strictly military. When they were seated, Commander
Janaki said, "How may I help you today, Commander?"

"I have official, diplomatic, communiques from the Prrresident of the United
Federrration of Planets as well as the Commanderrr in Chief of Starrrfleet. In
orrrderrr to not take up morrre of yourrr time than necessarrry, I will get to the
point.

The UFP forrrmally exprrresses grrrave concern at the naturrre of the seemingly sudden
change in goverrrnment, and the attacks on yourrr own colonies. We arrre concerrrned
that apprrroperrriate diplomatic channels werrre not used to inforrrm us orrr any
otherrr goverrrnment of this change, as is customarrry amoung 'frrriends'.
Prrresident Montgomerrry rrrequests a meeting with Generrral A'amon, a summit if you
will, to discuss this matterrr as well as otherrrs which I will discuss with you
momentarrrily.

The UFP forrrmally prrrotests the militarrry action that the newly forrrmed
goverrrnment has underrrtaken against a sentient, soverrrign people. Namely the
Tkuka. The Federrration Council rrrequests that all militarrry action come to an
immediate halt, and the matterrr be rrresolved by a neutrrral parrrty. The
Federrration is concerrrned for it's own safety, because yourrr militarrry action is
unprrrovoked. It is forrr this rrreason, that the Prrresident has orrrdered
Starrrfleet to incrrrease theirrr generrral alerrrt level, and has orrrdered the
expulsion of all Venasian Militarrry crrraft from Federrration terrrritory within 6
hourrrs. Any crrraft that can not meet this deadline, are to head to the closest
Starrrfleet Starrrbase forrr impound pending a mutually satisfactorrry rrresolution of
the Tkuka situation.

Admirrral Lasiterrr has asked that I notify you that Starrrfleet Securrrity has been
orrrderrred to prrrovide additional securrrity to all Venasian facilities, including
the embassy. He fearrrs that with the pending announcement by Prrresident
Montgomerrry, and the situation with the Tkuka, that therrre is an incrrreased rrrisk
of violence toward yourrr people. Admirrral Lasiterrr and the Prrresident value the
rrrelationship that ourrr people enjoy, and want to prrrevent any violence. Admirrral
Lasiterrr would also like to speak with a rrreprrresentative from the Embassy about
currrrent events, as well as prrrovide a brrriefing on Starrrfleet's efforrrts to find
a new homeworrrld forrr the Venasian people." M'Rrenn was polite in his tone and
mannerisms. He was truely the messanger.
