Once the doors to the meeting chamber closed, T'Kresh looked over her fellow
Council members. She knew that they were brimming with the need to share
their feelings about what had occurred. "Well, let's open the floor to
comments," she said as she prepared for the tidal wave.

Na'Tral looked around the room, her response was already on her face. She
gave an approperiate moment before beginning.

"That was crap! There is not any Lapizine, or whatever the hell they claim
is on that planet. They are trying to poision the idea so their sails won't
fall. It's a ploy. The Captain of ship that did the initial survey was
meticulus, and the science vessel that followed to confirm the finding was
even more so. This is CRAP!!!", she yelled.

Valtris laughed heartily in response. She was not sure that she necessarily
disagreed with Na'Tral, but she was pleased at his outburst. She decided it
would be fun to play with him a little. "We all know that Starfleet surveys
never miss anything," she said.

"We don't miss as much as others....", she fired back. "A'amon and his clan
don't want help finding a planet to call their own. They want to use the
search for one as a tool to cement their grasp on power. That's all this
was."

Melora sat in her chair and eyed her peers and wondered how the other powers
survived if these were the best and brightest of their diplomatic corps.
"There can be no question that A'amon wants a planet. It would definitely
strengthen his support base. I can't believe that he would put that off.
Getting a planet would show how much more superior he is to the previous
regime."

"Finding a planet only helps him and his regime if they find it. It does
little to nothing for them if someone who is perceived as being allied to
the previous regime offers it. However, if that same person is caught
offering something that is poisioned, then it helps to turn the populous
inward and thus against those painted as outsiders.", Na'Tral countered.

Ael, who had been largely silent commented mildly, "That is an interesting
point, Commander Na'Tral. Interesting but nearly impossible to prove."

"And one we can do nothing more than postulate about," replied Valtris.

"Did anyone else notice that the Secretary's attended was behaving
strangely. It was like his body was here, but his mind was not."

Ael piped up, "Considering the Venasian telepathic community, perhaps she was merely
as a conduit for another."

"Are you saying that she was here so another could observe?", Na'Tral asked
rhetorically.

"I do believe that's what I said.", answered the Romulan.
