"That would depend on this Council. It would be more widely accepted if the survey team had experts from Council members. Even better if there were some completely independent experts as well. That said, once a team is assembled and ready on the planet, a full survey could take a few weeks to a month plus to complete. A preliminary report naturally would be much faster. Naturally, all Starfleet facilities on site will be at the team's disposal."
Ael added, "Perhaps the primary ship performing the survey should be non-Federation."
Na'Tral answered, "I will have to confer with my superiors before committing one way or another, but it may be possible. Who would be supplying the survey vessel?", she said looking around the room.
"I believe that I could convince my government to supply this mission with a ship," replied Valtris.
"That would be a most agreeable, Ambassador. How soon could the experts meet up at the planet with the survey ship?", Na'Tral said to the assembled group.
"We have the the Hovtej in orbit here. If I get approval, I am sure we could launch her whenver we want to," repliead the Klingon representative.
