Audra stepped out into the sunshine.  It was a beautiful day; one full of hope.  It was hard to believe that just a couple of days earlier she had been injured in a fire fight at the funeral of Samuel Lasiter.  She had also heard that there had been some sort of bombing on Spacedock.  What was going on in the unverse.

After a short walk to the nearest transport station, she felt the familiar tingle of the transporters bringing her home.  While she liked Earth, she had come to know the station floating in orbit as the place she really belonged.  Know that she had been given a full bill of health, she could return to work.

It did not take her long to reach Ops.  When she stepped out onto the deck, she saw the familiar smiling face of Brad Arsineau.  "Nice of you to finally come to work.  I could not believe it when K'Tael told me you were taking time off because of a little bump on the head."

"Well, it was a little more than that, but it is definitely nice to be back.  I assume you have been holding things together while I was gone," she asked Brad.  While it had humor in it, the question was clearly meant to indicate her concern about the recent events.

"I assume you have heard about the bombing?" asked the Communications Officer.

Audra nodded.  "From what I understand, we can thank our friends in the Brotherhood for it."

"That is what we are finding.  It seems they were tied with both the bombing and the attack at the funeral. From what I understand, K'Tael's team is looking at some of the people you helped land in the brig.  Starfleet Intelligence has also been brought in, and the station has a whole new set of regs to set up to prevent something like this happening again."

"Is Admiral Renaud in?" she asked.

(OOC:  Pete, if you have different plans for him, I will rewrite)

Brad nodded.  "He is in his office.  I am sure that he would be glad to see you, Audra.  In fact, we all are."

Audra glanced around her and noticed that much of the Ops staff had joined in their little get together.  "Well, folks, it is nice to be back, but I believe we all have a little work to concentrate on.  Let's get to it," she said as she walked toward the CO's office.

Brad smiled and glanced to the rest of the staff as she walked off.  "She definitely is back to normal."

When Audra Renaud's office, she rang the chime.

(anyone home?)
