>As she approached, Lasiter stood. "Admiral Kitanya, thank you for coming.
Let's move our gathering into the private dining room where we can talk
without being disturbed by the others."
"Of courrrse, sirrr," she said, following him. It was the last place she
wanted to be at all, private or no.
>As the three walked from the lonely table into the private dining room,
they found Commander Roeder and LCMR Joseph Garibaldi waiting for them
along with a steward.
>
>"Wil, it is good to see you this morning.", Lasiter said to the waiter
after acknowledging the other two officers.
>
>"The pleasure is all mine, sir. What may I get for you today, Admiral?",
the steward answered.
>
>"My usual, if you please."
>
> "Aye, sir. Crapes with butter and maple syrup. Coffee with milk and
sugar. Admiral t'Llhweiir, Vice Admiral Kitanya, what may I get for you
this morning?"
"Coffee, black. A vegetable omelette with ham, and a butterrred English
muffin please. Oh, and a glass of orrrange juice."
(t'Llhweiir?)
>After taking the orders, Will left, and the attention returned to Lasiter.
>
> "Commanders, if you could give us a few moments alone. We will begin
in few more moments.", Lasiter said clearing the room so the brass could chat.
>
> Once all clear, he began. "I wanted to see you both this mornign to
talk about the investigations into Starfleet. The quiet investigations
into the corruption, abuses, and incompetance that plagues Starfleet.
Soon, it will be time to make these investigations public and to take
action on their findings. I wanted to brief you before that happens. I
had hoped to delay this for several months, but current events have forced
my plans into action sooner than I had hoped. These great problems with
Starfleet took years to happen, and will take more than 8 months of
investigation to root them all out. This is but a beginning.", Lasiter was
speaking in all seriousness. He let the two ladies digest what they had
just heard before continueing. Both remembered the first conversation that
M'Rrenn had with them about this so long ago.. They had not loked the idea
then, and perhaps still did not...
"It should have happened soonerrr," Kitanya muttered. Her mood was black,
and she had always hated the slow pace of this plan.
