Dolari thanked the crew of the Carey, especially Captain Moore. Captain
T'landran, about to return to the Waverunner, seemed quite pleased, having
received a small gift of several bottles of premium German ale. It seemed
the stalwart captain was quite popular among the Starfleet crew. He took
his leave of the assembled company and returned to his ship, scheduled to
depart within the hour. The cultural attache', Lora R'saran, had that
typical Venasian serenity around her, her annoyance with the customs
procedures belied only by the sharp glints the gold flecks in her eyes made.
"T'remea," Dolari's Shalan reminded her quietly, "The Council is undoubtedly
hoping to meet you."
"Later," she dismissed the idea with amicable ease, "The Council will meet
again, and we must see to our staff and the embassy first." She said to
the aide, "Let us go to the consulate, and then to the embassy. We have
much work to do before General A'amon visits."
En route, there were several guards posted through the corridors. Evidently
Spacedock felt there was a cause for concern, even with the tall,
broad-shouldered presence of Shalan T'landran behind the Ambassador. Soon
they reached the consulate, from where a dispatch left almost immediately
with a request to Federation diplomatic officials for a meeting.
