>"Commander, please join us.  We were talking about the limits to the Captain's >duty.  Can you please elaborate on the restrictions and the reasons for them?"

>Lasiter asked, cutting straight to business.
>Joanna's first response was to look at David to see how much he wanted her to talk >about.  While she wasn't going to talk about the details she was going to have to >touch on some personal information to explain the reasons for his restrictions.  That >was something that should be the patient's decision.

David nodded, "Speak freely please..."

>"Admiral, Captain Boulay and I had our first session this morning.  David had a tough >time on his last assignment.  He was essentially held as a prisoner of war in what >would be considered less than optimal condition that are usually respected under >the rules of war.  We have definitely begun the process of dealing with the emotions >that have resulted from this, there is still a journey to be travelled.  I don't think the >captain's emotional state will any way affect his station duties, I do have a concern >that sending him back into the field and into a situation similar to his recent >experiences, particularly with a lack of support would be detrimental to his mental >health and his abilities, at this time, to complete such a mission."

Whether he knew it or not, he shuddered visibly...it would be plain to see. He sat patiently and listened.
